Ceinws, Corris & Aberllefenni
Corris was once a busy slate mining and quarrying town, an industry
which sadly has declined over the years to a fraction of its former
importance. Looking around, it is easy to see how much busier the
place used to be. It still has an industrial feel about the place although
these days the sound of passing vehicles has replaced the hammering
of chisels and the sighs of the steam engines that drove machinery.
